About Me

I am a Midwestern girl at heart, but I love city living and weekend getaways. Originally from St. Louis, I moved to Chicago to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with dreams of becoming a potter. The travel bug bit me instead and I decided my calling was with a camera. Though strongly influenced by urban life and culture, I decided to take a different path and moved to Italy with my Nikon F3 in search of a few good shots and a great meal. I developed an interest in fashion and portrait photography (and cooking and wine tasting of course) while traveling Europe and decided to come back to the states with a new approach. My fine art background eventually led me to working commercially in Chicago before moving to California in 2005 to further pursue my technical training at Brooks Institute of Photography. And here I am, with an address in Los Angeles, but always up for an adventure wherever my passport takes me.
